Going on 21 years married, 23 together. Three kids, 15, 11, and 6. Would absolutely do it all over again, without hesitation.
And you’re thinking about this all wrong: My time with my kids IS “me” time. I do what I enjoy pretty much whenever I want. Just now, I have someone to share those things with and pass them on to. And I’ve learned I enjoy things that my kids love that I never knew about before having them.
It’s a win-win for me. Wouldn’t change a thing.

Yea I agree. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy my sitting in recliner after a hard day at work drinking a little whiskey while they are outside. When weather is nice I’ll go outside and watch them play while sipping on whiskey. Overall though, prefer to be with them. Unfortunately my oldest I worked a different career doing shift work where I was exhausted all the time and missed out on a bunch with her. Made up for it with my younger 2
