Seriously, what is the average attendance for a Tulane home game say vs a Rice type team?

I wonder how much of this "play instate teams" crap is just to soothe Legislators and guarentee that LSU can keep jacking up tuition, that TAF can keep stealing and reselling seats, and that they get a huge cut of the Capital Improvements budget in the legislature every year.

It's surely not good for the team.

Why do any of you guys even care? It's not like Tulane would be replaced on the schedule with USC or Notre Dame. You'd just be playing the Tulane of some other state, without the benefit of tradition.

Maybe the LSU tickets cost too much? Considering Tulane fans get the following.

RAISING CANES FAMILY PACK - ONLY $240
Entertain the family this fall by experiencing the fun and excitement of Tulane Football. Join the Green Wave for seven exciting home games. Two (2) adults and two (2) youths can enjoy all 2008 home games for only $240. Enjoy Green Wave Football family style (Family sections do not allow alcohol vending in the sections).
