I know someone from Kentwood (he left after HS, went to college a few semesters before going into the service, was a career man and recently retired so he knew them when Britney was a little girl) who knew the family. They went to the same church. He said the dad was known to be a bit of a hot head. He was "swole" back then and people said he was using steroids.

Evidently his wife stayed by his side all the time and seemed to be on edge when he was around. If he wasn't there she was the nicest person. Not sure how true that is.. Just saying what this person said about her dad.
