Dude, Black Panter is an outlier. NOBODY expected it to be the hit it was, and it's main star died suddenly.

There aren't any main male characters left other than M'Baku, who is a stretch as a "main" character.

This I would disagree with. I figured correctly that it would be a massive hit.

Chadwick's death kind of put them in a tough spot. I know they wanted to pay their respects to him, but they should have recast the part.

I really don’t understand why they didn’t just replace him, it’s not like that would be unprecedented in comic book movies or even the MCU.

If he hadn't died, I doubt M'Baku even makes it on the poster. The poster would still be 4 out of 5 featured stars as women, or 4 out of 6 in the off chance M'Baku actually did make the poster.
