Yep. Another in the long line of stupid decisions that the LSU administration made that continue to ruin the gameday experience.

I'm not usually one to bitch about Gameday changes over the years but this decision sucks arse. The Union was a GREAT place to get out of the elements and lounge around and use air conditioned bathrooms. We could get the kids McDonalds while we watched games on the big screens.

This is frickin stupid. They could have taken other steps to ensure nothing was damaged in the union.

They close the union & open the PMAC to the public, which is bigger and closer to the stadium. Y’all will always find something to bitch about

That lame excuse blows dicks.
The Union was much more accessible and kid/family friendly, with couches and chairs EVERYWHERE. Sitting in the Pmac seats isn't the same at all.

In the last 8-9 years we've been in the Union at least 15 times on gameday, whether it was to escape the heat, rain, or cold. The kids would often walk over from the tailgate to get McDonalds and use the bathrooms as well.

I'm not aware of anything of consequence he's done to really improve the LSU gameday experience.

Are you suggesting the PMAC doesn’t have as many seats as the union?

Yeah, people who tailgate on the N and NE sides of campus will love walking 10-15 minutes to get to the bathroom now…

Both the PMAC and Student Union should be open on gameday.

No, he's suggesting that the union was a much more comfortable place to hang out. They also used to have multiple games showing at once. The PMAC shows the same game on all screens.

The free gameday shuttles making loops around campus and dropping you off at Tiger Stadium are a freakin Godsend. They run about every 25 minutes to where we are in TD Village 2.
That's about it though.

ETA: wait I must commend the changes to the Portapotty situation. Instead of a huge Bank of them in a few spots around campus, they've placed 2-3 of them all over campus Now there's a nice clean portapotty within 200 feet or so all over campus. That's nice.

Why would you feed McDonalds to your kids at an event with so many unique opportunities for good food? 20-25 yrs ago it was a treat. Now it’s garbage served by apathetic employees.
