Hendon Hooker vs Florida
Kid looks good. Gets the ball out quick. Seems to have a few errant/inaccurate passes when his first and second reads aren't there. Florida had a LOT of busted coverages. The Tennessee scheme seems to just spread you wide and make you defend every part of the field (cliche, i know). Seems vulnerable to the pass rush.
Gonna be fun to watch our defense vs that offense. If we can beat Tennessee I think we have a shot at a 10 win season with (or without) a bowl game

Their sets are wide wide huh?
Receivers are pretty much on the sideline on both sides.

Thanks. Great to see. Didn’t get to watch that game. Looks like the UT receivers have been taught to come back to the ball well.

Wasn’t reading carefully and saw hookers, Florida, and see here - think I was expecting something a little different.

Basically what we should be doing with Daniels

Their scheme looks miles better than ours. Hooker doesn't even look like he has to go through reads. It just creates space.
They also have a set I like. 4 wide with an H-back behind the line. Seems like a good way to find a mismatch a few times a game. Can audible to Zone, power, quick pass or vertical. I know it's not ground breaking, but it's miles better than mnost of the stuff we've seen over the years.

Because it is. Heupel is one of the best offensive minds in football. Meanwhile, LSU is stuck with play calling from Cam Cameron 2.0

You do realize Hooker is in his second year at Tennessee and has better familiarity with his receivers. He has basically completed 66% of his passes career wise and throws very few interceptions. Seems very similar to Daniels, but his experience with his receivers allows him to be more consistent.
He ran for 112 yards against Florida but has only 60 yards rushing in the other three games. Hopefully the Tigers defensive backs learned to concede a few running yards if the QB breaks loose from the rush and not let him throw deep in a scramble drill. Several times they began to sell out and got burned for it. It appears its advantage Daniels on running plays and that may make up for some of the passing advantage that Hooker may have.
It will be even better if Daniels improves his accuracy to 60% or better allowing them to extend drives. No doubt the coaches will be working very diligently on the passing game this week and getting the wide receivers involved. Take a few shots down field and hope it is successful which will make the medium passes less contested.

If we start slow on offense and keep punting they'll bury us
They're built on speed and space
We need to play ball control and get them behind the sticks

Outstanding scheme and correct plays called at the appropriate time. He is very accurate and runs when nothing is open.
I think constant pressure and hits on him will be the only way to slow them down.
