She probably was allowed through any number of other times with weed until the Russians found it convenient to set her up. There are no coincidences in Russia. She should have been more situationally aware.
This may hurt Mulkey with one constituency but help her with another. A lot of parents are uneasy with the strong lesbian influence in WBB and Griner is one of the higher profile lesbians. Mulkey has been sidestepping those issues for a long time.
