I don't understand why some of you are bitching about LSU being picked up by CBS. At least LSU is on TV. At least they aren't playing on RAYCOM @ 11:30. At least the games aren't on TigerVision. I mean come on...they are on national TV. They are still getting a lot of exposure.

If CBS picks up LSU, they hate us. If ESPN picks our game for 6:45, they hate us. All that's bull crap. Everyone get off the high horse. Be thankful they are on TV. At least they are on TV.

And anyways, playing on CBS @ 2:30 had nothing to do with us winning or losing. Saturday LSU got their arse handed to them because of poor coaching, poor game planning, poor play executions, etc. etc. etc. We still would have lost even if they game was played at 7 p.m. LSU has not played a complete game this entire year; so game time doesn't matter.

If some of you are going to complain about losing, complain about the real reasons LSU loses. Game time and the station it comes on is a cop out!!!

I guess I can understand the bitching, but it blows my mind to see the post on here where some folks think this is LSU's fault and our AD should just be able to tell the networks to screw off.

yes but 2:30 games take away from the whole gameday atmosphere and LSU is known for playing night games in death valley where the crowd is more rowdy than at 2:30 games. I was planning on going to the bama game until this

Either way, at least they are on TV. I'm just really happy they are on TV. It could be worse, they could not be on TV, so be thankful they are on TV, just sayin'.

I also like it when fans break out the win-loss record between day and night games. Of course, they don't bother to consider the opponents.

I understand the excitement of night games in Tiger Stadium, but playing day games means we're a national player. I can live with that.

I believe all of Miles' losses while at LSU were on CBS. And i believe, all but 2 of them were at 2:30..... therefore, most fans would rather not play the 2:30 game on CBS.

Who said that??? i believe just about everyone would love to be in the 6:45 slot with ESPN..

I love 2:30 CBS games when they're at home.

That means I get home at a decent time and can watch the ESPN game. :nana: :nana: :nana:

The problem is that playing at 2:30 screws up tailgating and it ruins the atmosphere of regular LSU games i.e. Death Valley on Saturday Night. National exposure is great, but if it takes away from the gametime atmosphere and takes away from our psychological advantage just a little bit, then its a problem. And that is why people bitch.

I agree on the network whining about they hate us though. That is plain ignorant.

I don't mind them ... really, I don't. Especially if it's a glorious weather day like last Saturday. We're there ... rain, shine, snow (ND 97 had snow flurries!), 11:30, 2:30, 6:45 or 8pm! And yes, we stay for the whole game.

For anyone that read the LSU record on CBS thread, I wasn't by any means complaining, bashing, or anything OTHER than pointing out something that was reported on a BR tv station. Just thought it was trivia.

It takes away from what makes Death Valley's atmosphere great. It diminishes the environment overall by being sunny, earlier when people are less roudy, and shortening tailgate time. We have two big home games this year and both are at 2:30. WTF?

While I don't know if would have affected the outcome, to day game time doesn't matter is completely false. It's not a just some "Tiger Stadium mystique". They really do play better at night than during the day, especially in TS. That's just a fact. The home field "advantage" was non-existent Saturday.

There is nothing we can do about it, so why do we make it a big issue?

It beats playing most home games at night with no tv or at 11:30 because we suck ... like the 90s.
