I guess what I’m saying is that he is going to have less patience with his progressions and happy feet in the pocket, which is normal. Not a criticism. Just trying to temper expectations

Dude, Daniels has played a ton of road conference games, and one of the best parts of his game is how cool he is under pressure, almost to a fault. He doesn’t get rattled. And of course he’ll pull it and run more than he did against New Mexico. The focus of that game was obviously NOT to do that. But against Auburn and SEC athletes, they’ll let him play, and that will result in more runs.
Hopefully he’ll stay in the pocket more than he has, but when our WRs run their DBs down the field and he only has 1 person to beat in space to pick up 25-30 yards, pulling it and running is oftentimes the correct decision. That’s a huge part of his game and our offense. Sure, we don’t him passing up wide open WRs 50 yards downfield only to pull it and run for 15, but if you totally take that part of his game away, you may as well play Nuss. One thing we don’t talk about is how that threat of him running affects how defenses play us. Their edge rushers have to keep contain and can’t just pin their ears back and and full out rush or he’ll just scoot around them for huge gains. And that helps our true freshmen OTs in pass pro.
