Growing up, we had a small weekend ranch near Freer. You couldn’t pay me enough money to ever want to live there now. Ugly country and the open border has made it even more lawless than it was then. Hill Country is a million times better place to retire to a ranch.

Yea when I think STX I guess I am envisioning more like Uvalde, I could live on a ranch in that area.

Maybe I should have just said the town. It is basically Freer.

If you still had that ranch would you live in Freer, or would you avoid any of those nearby towns completely and just live an hour or so away.
