So, just watched Ep 5. Seems like Cassian was sold something that wasn't true 
These guys want to hit the Empire, but they aren't sure what they're doing... at least that's my takeaway from them talking about flying the transport. I didn't think they were testing him, I think they were clueless on what to do. Days before they hit.
Maybe that's why Skarsgard brought him in, a level of competency. And maybe if he gets a taste, he will go along with things like this more 'just to do it'.
Not sure what to make of the Empire version evil Rob Lowe (security officer), and his home life w/ mom. Cocoa puffs in blue milk?
