I understand the complaining about scores. But year in and out it does not change. Im watching Stanford on bars with many double tuck dismounts scoring 9.9. Form is one thing but we have to change some of these routines on bars and beam. Built in deductions we get hit for especially on beam. No one really hits their leaps properly on beam. Haleigh and Aleah are the exception. It’s 4 other routines and 3 can’t hit a proper switch half. My gripe is the coaches. If they are hitting the positions in the gym, it’s not translating to competition. Im sorry Jay as the head coach has to make better decisions on this with Gnat. Regardless of scoring and Injuries, the execution needs to get better and the competitive edge really hasn’t been there since 2019 and some parts of 2020.

But it such a huge deal. You complain about the coaching but if you think there is some routine structure that the coaches can come up where the girls will always hit, youre in la la land and will never be happy.

Previously you were talking about Elena being the leadoff for beam instead of Kai. My question is why? She got a 9.775, which was scored horrifically. Which is my point I am getting at with the scoring.

Thats fine and you have some evidence to back up what youre saying. But lets call a spade a spade, LSU performed better than Arkansas last night and didnt get the results. Thats got to be discouraging as a gymnast but Id imagine they are being tough minded about it.

I do think this team is improving since week 1 and all that really matters is how they do in postseason.
