I guess Paxten as a false 9 again?
Posted on 9/20/22 at 9:04 am to etm512
Probably. The 9s are still weak. I wonder if they try to play Gutierrez there.

US is also in a U17 and U19 tournament that will be going on at the same time as this tournament. The U20 tourney has a stream available but the other two are uncertain for streams. I just saw where Vix is streaming the Revelations Cup

Their is a Vix and a Vix+. When I saw the game on Vix it had it listed under just Vix, so I’m hoping it’s on the free Vix

Thanks for the info. I edited the OP with the direct link to the Vix streaming site.

Don't sleep on Kevin Parades from Wolfsburg at the 9 he is making the bench and getting some mop up duty.

He plays more as a winger or wingback though

Game just started, that link in the OP works.

Gomez falls asleep on a set piece and Peru is up 1-0. Hopefully we turn it around cuz we look bad early

Nice answer with a Hopkins goal from a Cuevas assist to end the half. We seem to have gotten outr game together and we controlled the last 20 minutes

So my first half thoughts (I missed the first 23 minutes or so):
- we are the better team
- Peru are technical and still a threat on the counter
- our ideas of how we want to move the ball look good but the execution isn’t there
- not enough connecting with guys making runs, and the frequent lobbing of balls over the top has not paid off
- McGlynn has been most impressive to me thus far, such a cool head to have in the middle. I love how much he demands the ball and almost always makes the right decision once he has it
- I like Rokas but damn we need to sub him off before he gets a second yellow
- Gutierrez made a fantastic diagonal run on the goal, practically what we would want from a 9 and what we don’t see nearly enough at the full MNT imo
Goal
- general sloppiness is hurting this team but it’s something I think will get better as these guys get some chemistry together

True everything Peru has gotten has come from a Gomez mistake

Paxton, Quinn, and Luna warming up.
Dude I love Luna, he looks and sounds hilarious and is a straight up baller

Quinn Sullivan is so fricking good. I want him in Europe.

Sullivan and Aaronson came on and immediately changed the dynamic.
