Bama has lost to LSU five times in a row...
Bama has lost to Miss State two times in a row...
Bama has lost to Auburn six times in a row...
Just saying.

even if bama loses to us, they still win the west.

Bet ya $1000 they don't (break all three streaks).... history and probability are on my side, but if you're willing to risk it, I'll take that action.

bama may win out but no way wins in atl?
FLA will be unstoppable on dec 6 OR they can't beat UGA 2 times in a year.

This could happen ... my point is just that it's not soooo far-fetched that Bama loses two of three of those games.
I think Bama definitely loses to LSU (they play right into our strengths) ... will Auburn or Miss. State beat them? Probably not, but it wouldn't shock me if one of them did.

Did ya'll make the bet?

And what exactly are those at this point? Our ability to turn the ball over for touchdowns or our inability to stop anyone with a pulse from scoring?

1. Our O-Line against their D-line
2. Our D-Line against their O-line
3. Their offensive "style" of play which plays right into our hands in terms of them not being able to take full advantages of our biggest weaknesses in the secondary and LB.
4. Our extremely superior depth compared to theirs which becomes more important as the season gets deeper.
5. Our coach that generally plays to win versus their coach that generally plays not to lose ... who wouldn't take LSU if you knew beforehand that it was going to be a close game (which it likely will be)?
6. The general "notion" that SEC teams typically simply don't go undefeated in the current SEC power structure.
7. The fact that the game is at home.
I could go on, but those are the main things ... A lot of things point toward LSU in this game and is the reason most "experts" have Bama losing to LSU in two weeks.

IF the Tigers can pull off the win against 'Bama, I think it's very possible that they lose to either Auburn or Miss St. If Bama beats LSU, then they will likely run the table until the SEC Championship.

I agree with this, but given my bet above I still think Bama loses at least one of their final three games (the most likely thing happenning is that Bama loses to LSU but wins against Aub and State).

1. LSU will see blitz packages it has never experienced before.
2. Weren't we supposed to beat up on Georgia too with this strength?
3. Hasn't John Parker Wilson shown this year he can pass, unlike last year?
4. Doesn't matter if their players don't get hurt and their starters jump out to a big enough lead.
5. Alabama hasn't been outschemed by anyone this season. Our coaching staff has been coaching from behind in every meaningful game. In two, the deficit was too much to overcome, and Mississippi State was a dropped sure touchdown in the second half away from closing the gap to three points.
6. Auburn did it just four years ago. There are exceptions to every rule.
7. Didn't help us against Arkansas last year, and didn't prove to be too much of an advantage against Georgia when the stadium virtually cleared out when we were down in the thrid quarter (And yes, I stayed for the entire game.).
Keep going...

Pitt beating West Virginia was 50 times stranger than it would be if Bama loses to LSU and Auburn ... Hell, Bama hasn't beaten either of those teams in half a decade.
Thanks for the quote ... that was kind of my point of the whole thread ... the SEC West race is faaaaar from over.

2. Our D-Line against their O-line
I'm not sold on that one anymore. We don't seem to get enough pressure with just the front four, and as cool as "the tiger express"" sounds, it lacks in functionality.

7. The fact that the game is at home.
But its during the day... So if we get down everyone will pile out at half time. And historically we don't play as well during the day.
I till think LSU wins this one, but for none of the reasons you mentioned. Just the fact that I am a fan.

We're cool man. You like Bama in the game, I respectfully disagree. There's no right or wrong answer. The game could certainly go either way, but there's no getting around the fact that the intangibles point toward LSU.
We'll find out in two weeks.

No, I've just learned over the years that the correct answer lies opposite what the majority of the "vocal" portion of the fanbase thinks. LSU fans (like many college fans) get way too high and too low with wins and losses. If the majority of the vocal fan base thinks we're unbeatable, we're probably not as good as most people think. On the other hand, if the majority of the vocal fanbase thinks we're terrible, we're probably not as bad as everyone says.
It's a little trick I learned a long time ago and usually works. Go against the crowd (at least when emotion is involved in college football), and you're probably closer to the truth and reality than they are.
When we get biased and emotional, our viewpoint is distorted. It's human nature.
