Had a blast on my first visit to Death Valley

I know you diehards have bigger fish to fry after watching the visitors hang 52 on Saturday. But many of you were kind enough to offer me and my buddies several tips on our first visit to DV so I wanted to give a brief report and say thanks. We had a great time, hooked up with a friend of a friend (Dr. Frasier Landreneau) and his awesome tailgate party near the Indian Mounds. I wore my UCLA gear and my friend wore his USC gear and I gotta say we were a little disappointed we didn't get more grief for repping the candy-arse Pac10. It seems as though Tiger fans are all bark, no bite. I didn't even see many Tiger fans harassing the Georgia fans and the vaunted "Tiger Bait" chant didn't come out too often. I guess you all just can't get past the Southern Hospitality no matter how mean you think you want to be.
We enjoyed some good food: quail, boudain (sp?), gumbo, jumbalaya, etc and plenty of liquour. Who knew I'd find Woodford Reserve Bourbon at a tailgate? In SoCal it's usually limited to kegs of lite beer.
Tiger Stadium was impressive and it got real loud a few times but Georgia usually shut the crowd up pretty quickly with a big play. From my distant view in Section 640 it seemed like the difference was basically QB play. Both defenses gave up a lot of big plays but Stafford stepped up into the pocket and made a play a few times while Lee threw the ball to the guys in the red jerseys a little too often. Hey, at least us Pac10 fans were entertained by seeing 90 points scored in a regulation game.
We plan to visit a different stadium around the country every year but maybe we'll come back to Death Valley some time and make sure to catch a night game. See y'all then.

man i just wasn't feeling the tigerbait either...maybe because it was a day game and traffic to the game kinda ruined my day..im surpirsed you thought it was loud in the upper decks because it sounds night and day when sitting in the lower bowl. i can never hear anything in the upper deck but get chills in the lower. come back for a WHOLE day of tailgating at a night game.

Going to a day game is like "Trick or Treating" during the day.

Hey, I met you guys on the parade grounds. Didn't remember until now. I think we were talking to Chicken.

Hey Pac10 Dr. Landreneau is my surgeon and a damn good 1 too. Also a hoot and Big LSU fan. Glad you had a good time at our expense. Maybe the next time you come we'll have a different outcome.

I brought Woodford out to the Rose Bowl when we lost to you fokkers in the infamous 13-9 game.
I'm sure it saved my life.

No offense, but, this is the SEC. We know we are the best and could care less what they do out on the far left coast. Being in UCLA and USC gear, you were most likely tagged as homosexuals, so everyone probably just walked around you. Glad you had fun.
