They are falling apart and have been for 20 years. They “fix” roof leaks by putting buckets to catch the rain water. They routinely run out of buckets and don’t have the money to buy new ones so they use trash cans.

Congrats, you have a twitter account.

New buildings are going up all over the place. Not spending money on old buildings that are due for a major rebuild or even tear down, does not mean there is no money.

LSU spent close to $800 million on capital improvements (New buildings and remodels) from 2015-2019.

No I’m speaking from experience. I’ve had multiple family members work for for the physical plant/facility services. And I know some people that are working there now.
I was literally talking exactly about this last week with someone in the roofing department. Their budget was exhausted by February of this year and does not renew until July.

This isn’t just 1 building that is in disrepair. It’s all of them.

When’s the last time you actually set foot in a building on campus that wasn’t a sports venue?

Here is what LSU says about capital projects:
Major capital projects listed as “New Projects” on the university’s Capital Outlay 5 Year Plan are mainly focused on renovations to existing facilities, rather than constructing new facilities, in an effort to preserve LSU’s historic buildings and actively reduce identified deferred maintenance items.

LSU CPM

This is repairing building you think need “major repair” or “torn down.”

New buildings for student housing aren’t part of the Capital Improvement.

ETA: and please link where LSU has extra money to buy and demo the surrounding “Hood” and police all of BR
