Well we had experienced DBs last year and Look what Kentucky among some others did to us when we played this vanilla do nothing read and react defense, where the QB has enough time to eat a hot dog waiting for his recievers to get open -On the other hand look how good these same DBs looked against Ohio St when we were agressive ,disguised our blitzs or Va Tech when the Qbs had to make the quick decision(thats just the way it is)

The NC was great for the program, but we had a lot of luck getting there. If you can't admit it then you are wearing you p&g goggles to much.

You'd be better off just admitting you don't like Miles.

I have never been happy with the selection. I think we settled big time. But I have nothing against the man.

[quote]Everyone was raving at the USCe halftime adjustments. 9-3 is nothing to worry about. Les is recruting great and we'll be back and better than ever next year. So, get your bandwagon jumping shoes on for when it starts rolling again.

I was not raving about any chgs...............they can't run the fing ball @ USC & they have a fresh. QB....w/ pressure ona bad oline...our d-stepped up know doubt.

F THAT >>>>>U better get a DC in to this house nxt yr or there will be some problems...w/ the nice things going on right now @
LSU...that co d shite has to many f ing heads involved and the skillsets are not that good of the 2....................USCs O is anemic..they have nice receivers but that Off. is not gd.

the talent we have on D...noway anyone should score 40-50 pts on LSU...and it is happen...b/c of the DC sits. LBs & DBs are not great but they are gd enough....DC sit. has to chg in FEB.

man i love the standards he set. its like im back in the curly days again just hope we win. frick the fact that we have shown we can be a national power and we really were a sleeping giant. i prefer sleep anyways plus i mean its a not like miles is getting paid an assload to win so why should he get pressure if he is doing his best

You know you're right - if miles doesn't go undefeated next year let's go ahead and fire him and hire whatever random NFL coach got fired just to change it up and really move back to the curly days while Miles drifts off to Michigan and wins 4 national championships and stays for 30 years.

ETA: yes, well aware of the issues, it's not like Miles is going to stand by and let it continue to deteriorate. Have some faith.

Well, if Miles could just use his spidey-sense to tell what the next play was going to be, that might help. And if an opponent's blitzer comes free or if an opponent's WR gets wide open, Miles could use his spidey wrist net to snare them.

I was waiting for this. Seriously though there needs to be a sense of urgency over the defense. the decline started last year but got swept under the rug because we were winning. the whole philosophy must change. I am tired of seeing this passive read & react crap where more emphasis is put on containment then attacking the football.

I disagree with the nay-sayers. Guys, Miles is great. Do you remember LSU's record in 2004, after Saban won the National Championship?

This argument that Miles won with Saban's players is nonsense.

LSU is struggling this year. They graduated most of the starters from last years NC team. What do you expect? Only at USC, and Ohio State can a team pop back into the BCS championship the next year, and that is because of they are in weak conferences. Look at Florida last year.

At what point should the Gator's clueless have blamed Meyer for last years problems on defense?

Luckly for their clueless fans, they didn't have Co-defensive Coordinators to point their little clueless fingers at.

You people are idiots. One year after an NC you want to crucify Miles. How frigging stupid can you get. We graduated a ton of senior leadership and experience. Unless you are a complete idiot you should realize that even if Perrilloux had not been kicked out, we would not be back in the NC this year. We can still win 10 ganes or is that not good enough for the imbeciles who populate the Rant?

LSU seems to be dealing with the same issues that UF was dealing with last year...a very young team at big positions and 2 defensive coordinators.

UF is still young at positions, they just got a lot of experience under fire last year. With Strong now the DC, it goes through him alone. I think LSU will be dealing with the growing pains the remainder of the year, but the young guys will only get better.

I fully expect LSU to be back in the hunt next year...easily.
