I use a double edge safety razor I got from the Art of Shaving about 10 years ago. It's heavy as heck and made by Merkur. It's about $80 and allows you to adjust the blade position, unlike some others.

I have been wanting to make the switch to a straight blade but trying to shave my lips seems like an insurmountable challenge.

The rest of my face I have no issues but even the barbers all suck at shaving lips (that I been to). Seems like one slip and I end up looking like a Joker parody.

So even though I want to make the jump, I just can't. Gives me a reason to still enjoy an old school shave when I can find it.

This is probably the best safety razor on the market IMO

It isn't that bad.

Eta: if you're an outdoorsman, its kinda like skinning a deer around that back tendon while the deer is hanging from it. You just have to have a really sharp knife and know where the point is.
