“The Constitution—the founders—provided us a way to protect ourselves.”

Add Jack, Clay, Hunt, Montague, and Hood Counties to the list.

Other confirmed counties with judges and commissioners who’ve signed resolutions in support of Texas declaring an invasion:

Atascosa
Chambers
Edwards
Ellis
Goliad
Hardin
Jasper
Johnson
Kinney
Liberty
Live Oak
Madison
Orange
Parker
Presidio
Terrell
Throckmorton
Tyler
Van Zandt
Wichita
Wilson
Wise

Additionally, Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin is the only mayor in Texas or the U.S. to declare an invasion.

The counties label Mexican cartels as “paramilitary, narco-terrorist organizations that profit from trafficking people and drugs into the U.S.,” that “exploit weakened unsecure borders for their own power and profit, to the detriment of our communities.” They are creating a “major health and public safety issue with methamphetamines, which greatly impacts our communities, our families, our jail, our court system, and our other local resources,” they argue, citing 192,000 pounds of methamphetamine confiscated at the southern border, excluding amounts confiscated by local law enforcement. CBP agents and local law enforcement are continuing to confiscate record amounts of fentanyl.

The counties also argue the “sovereign and unilateral authority explicitly reserved to the States, respectively, under Article 1, Section 10 of the U.S. Constitution and Article IV, Section 7 of the Texas Constitution” allows them “to defend themselves against invasion,” which “has been exacerbated by the federal government’s failure in meeting its constitutional obligation to ‘insure domestic tranquility,’ ‘provide for the common defense,’ ‘execute the laws,’ and ‘protect each state against invasion.’”

Eagle Pass, located in Maverick County in the Del Rio sector, has reportedly been overwhelmed with the dead.

Local photographer Auden Cabello shared the video of illegal aliens being buried in freshly dug graves and confirmed the following:
quote:

[Cabello] visited the Memorial Funeral Chapel in Eagle Pass, witnessed, photographed, and counted twenty-one graves. Each with cheap PVC crosses and marked with paper place marks titled unidentified “John/Jane Does.” One grave in the picture states “Baby John Doe,” suggesting the deceased was an infant or young child.

Notably, in the Del Rio sector, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) apprehended more than 376,000 illegal border-crossers this federal fiscal year, and Forbes reported a record-breaking 748 illegal alien deaths in the past year, many from dehydration, drownings, and exposure to the elements.

In the immortal words of Col. Andy Tanner (1984 movie, Red Dawn):
quote:

"Infiltrators came up illegal from Mexico. Cubans mostly. They managed to infiltrate SAC bases in the Midwest, several down in Texas and wreaked a helluva lot of havoc, I'm here to tell you. They opened up the door down here, and the whole Cuban and Nicaraguan and Latin American armies come walking right through, rolled right up here through the Great Plains."

Allow the lawful killing of illegals by civilians to go unpunished and the flow across the border will stop with the quickness. Declare all illegals enemy combatants.

And what does this change? All Texas does is take a few of them to Chicago and DC for some press clippings.

You are correct.

The only impact would be to impeach Biden & remove the liberal trash that initiated this and enabled it.

And by doing so, what happens now? What advantage do they gain? Can these Counties use TX Air National Guard F15's for strafing missions on illegals trying to cross the border?

As of now? Nothing.
The counties acknowledge their declarations are largely symbolic.
They can't take action without legislative action from the governor.

The Center for Renewing America has drafted a LINK ]policy brief on how a state can declare an invasion. A governor’s invasion declaration under Article I, Section 10, Clause 3 will need immediate support of the state legislature and attorney general in the face of the Biden administration’s likely immediate disapproval.
quote:

As commanders-in-chief of their National Guard, governors in border states should cite state war powers and activate and deploy all units to the southern border with specific orders to the commanding officers of the National Guard to detain and return illegal immigrants back across the border, turn back illegal immigrants to Mexico at the border, and defend (with kinetic action if necessary) against Cartel operatives, human traffickers, and drug mules moving deadly fentanyl and narcotics into American towns and communities.

- The LINK ]Texas State Guard, which answers only to the governor of Texas and is separate from the Texas National Guard, should be deployed to the southern border with similar orders.

- Border state governors should instruct their Guard and Department of Public Safety (DPS) personnel to return illegal immigrants back across the border to Mexico while simultaneously engaging in diplomatic outreach to the Mexican government. This will force a constitutional question almost immediately between the states and the federal government, creating the attention and pressure required to ultimately resolve the crisis.

- Border state governors should simultaneously call for non-border state governors to activate and deploy all available National Guard units to reinforce the border, including any and all available law enforcement personnel. Executive orders should be issued that permit these units and personnel to operate in border states in tandem with a border state’s DPS, National Guard, and law enforcement agencies.

- Governors in non-border states should follow suit and instruct their deployed National Guard units to operate in tandem with their counterparts with similar orders to detain, defend, and return while reporting directly to their home state governors.

Governors should anticipate aggressive pushback from the administration and from elected officials in Congress. As is codified in U.S. statute, the president of the United States may nationalize each state’s National Guard units and take them under his command whenever:

- The United States is invaded or in danger of invasion from a foreign nation,
- There is a rebellion against the federal government,
- The laws of the United States cannot be executed with existing forces.

If the president attempts to federalize National Guard units under state command, governors should be prepared to respond with an immediate lawsuit, brought by their attorneys general. In such a scenario, the president would undoubtedly deny that he has failed to fulfill his obligations under Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution (i.e., he would deny that there is an invasion), thus putting himself in a “catch 22,” i.e., if there is no invasion, there is no other factual basis upon which to federalize the National Guard under the law.

quote:

Two additional actions that should be commenced by governors (and appropriate local authorities) include:

- Commence deputization of citizens to work alongside state and local law enforcement along the border to make trespassing arrests. Citizens should be partnered with DPS personnel to ensure that the law is followed.

- Use existing legal authority to impose prohibitions on the utilization of state assets and facilities to house unaccompanied alien children (UACs) and illegal alien minors unless and until background check legislation has been passed and potential sponsors have passed said checks.

The final measure to force the federal government to act and faithfully enforce the law is an executive action that tasks state DPS and National Guard units to utilize unused school district buses to load up illegal immigrants and caravan them out of state. The federal government has released some 600,000 illegal immigrants inside the United States in the past seven months, a clear abuse of parole authority and a reckless embrace of “catch-and-release,” fueling the rupturing of communities throughout the nation. Governors should prepare to immediately re-apprehend illegal aliens released by federal agents to be loaded up onto these buses for a return to Mexico or sent to states who are refusing to secure the border of the United States.

These are measures of last resort. However, our federalist system sometimes requires constitutional conflict to resolve issues–especially issues posing existential crises to our republic and the security of our communities.

Remember when Arizona tried to enforce illegal immigration laws that the feds were ignoring ? Obama administration went after Arizona instead. We saw what they were doing then and continue to do today. The Obama DOJ attacked Arizona for trying to enforce immigration laws that the Federal government refused to. Same players involved here.

So put your TX State Guard at various border crossing hot spots with orders by Abbot to turn back all illegals trying to cross - by force if necessary. Give your guys full auto M4s and have them fire into the Rio Grande ahead of the illegals trying to cross. They will haul arse with the quickness back to Mexico.

Next instruct your State Legislature to file criminal treason charges against Brandon and Heels Up for abetting and allowing an ongoing insurrection/invasion of TX.

Next, file for succession from the U.S. - but please do the dirty work mentioned above before you haul arse. We'd appreciate it!

I'm pretty important to my family; but I unfortunately lack the authority to deploy the Texas State Guard.

But I feel you; and you're spot on.

The time for words has passed. The federal government is not interested in stemming the tide.

Yup, you don’t need the mouse trap if you “kill the problem in the crib”.

You are getting down votes but I was asking the same question. What does it change. One bus load to one area is getting attention but 100 bus loads might get action.
