LSU isnt going anywhere

As long as LSU locks up on instate talent and raids Texas they will be a power in college football. LSU will never go back to what it used to be, LSU has been a sleeping giant for a while like Florida. But i have a question, has LSU always racked up on in state players like they are now?

I think Louisiana high school football is taking off. It has always been one of the top 5 or 7 in the nation but now it's really gaining strength.

Louisiana football has ALWAYS been strong but Notre Dame, Michigan, Nebraska, Fla State, and others kept robbing us of our talent in the 80s and 90s.

LSU will drop no matter what kind of talent they have if they don't develop that talent. Thus far the fact is that LSU's talent development is dropping like a rock on the defensive side of the ball, and the team will continue to drop if it is not fixed.
You can't win with just talent. See USC, UT, Miami, FSU. It takes good coaching, which LSU is not getting.

LSU needs to beat Bama in two weeks if they want to keep the door shut and locked to lil nicky. I am not saying they will start losing LA recruits to the Tadd if they lose, but you do not want to leave the door cracked with lil nicky and his salesmanship.

Hey geaux bob, seven games ago we won the national championship, lost 1 coach and tried to maintain by promoting from within. I do not think that the coaches can't do their jobs, I think that some of the players are not experienced enough to replace the injured guys.
We have guys playing at 80% because we are so young behind them. It is not just the coaches not developing the players.

No. Texas, Michigan, Ohio St, Miami, Florida, Florida St, and even San Diego State took away lots of Louisiana talent. Not anymore. I still think the biggest thing Saban did for LSU was to establish a trend for top Louisiana athletes to stay in state at LSU.

sstig, are you kidding me? Our player development has steadily gotten worse. Anyone with commonsense can see it, and its been going over the past several years. Mallory and Peveto suck completely. The LBers and Special teams have gotten worse under Peveto, and look at the change in special teams this year without him.
As for Mallory? I have not been overly impressed with our DB play in quite some time. It's been decent, but nothing special. Landry was the only stud to come out of it and he was trained by Saban for his first two years and acutally got worse his last two with fundamentals.
It is purely and simply coaching.
