The Higgins Hotel (Hilton Property) is across the street from the WWII museum, and the décor is theme related. They have a parking garage attached to the hotel. The museum is across the street, and they have done a good job of moving the homeless and vagrants away from that area.
If you're staying for a weekend, you may think about doing the Pacific Theatre one day, and the European the next day. It's so much information my brain was mush after doing both theatres in the same day. Don't sleep on the 45 minute movie that tells the whole story in a 4D theatre with effects to the chairs and theater.

This is your answer. Did it earlier this year. Stayed three nights at the Higgins and did the full museum experience.
