As a qb, you have to recognize the blitz and get it to the hot rote in those situations. It’s not all on the blockers.

IMO, Joe Burrow’s greatest asset was reading and recognizing defenses pre snap. He often audibled and checked off to hot reads. WR’s were also on the same page as Burrow and knew when to look for the ball.

Sadly, it appears LSU’s QB’s since the 2019 season aren’t cerebral enough read defenses and make changes at the LOS.

What blitz did you see in any of those screenshots? Not one man. So that hot read stuff as it relates to this post is a moot point.

Yep.
In not one of those snapshots is Daniels getting pressure from his blind side. He can see the pressure in every situation. He needs to hit the quick slant.
The last thing you want to do in that situation is sit in the pocket reading a 10+ yard route.

The only play I see with a route <5 yards available is the first one. That's on Denbrock.

late to the thread but yes, this

kid has happy feet, once he made up his mind up on running he’s done looking downfield

fsu was doing a good job of finding the open man
