I picked another team (at random) to compare:

And their (#1) 2019 recruiting class (by position just because it is easier):

TE Billingsley DNA (Does not appear)
RB Robinson DNA
RB Trey Sanders #3 RB
QBs Tyson and (Taulia) Tagovailoa DNA
OL Kight is #2 LT
C Dalcourt is #1 C
OL Quick, Bowles, and Neal DNA
LB Mwikuta, Lee and Harris DNA
K Reichard is #1 PK
DT Dale is #1 NG (shared)
DT Alfano DNA
DT Young is #1 DE
DT Sopsher DNA
DE Harris DNA
DE Eboigbe is #2 DE (on his side)
DE Ingraham DNA
DBs Turnage, Carter and Banks DNA
DB Battle is #1 SS
ATH Hellams and Metchie DNA

So, this #1 class, nationally, yields 5 starters (including the placekicker) and 3 others (including what must be considered a critical backup at LT) down the depth chart over this same period.

Yeah, I think the 3rd year would be a better indicator than the 4th. Not that our ‘19 class didn’t have a bunch of busts, but I doubt there’s that many top teams that have a bunch of guys from the ‘19 class starting. They’ve either gone to the NFL or been passed up by younger, better guys. And Bama may actually be the outlier with 5 starters since guys seem more willing to stick around until their 3rd and 4th years to get on the field there. And I’m talking about top 5-6, legit playoff contending teams. Of course worse recruiting programs will have 4th year starters—their older guys aren’t typically good enough to leave early and their younger ones aren’t good enough to beat out the older ones.

Not to defend Orgeron, I’m just not sure this particular stat is very high on the list of reasons for indictment. I think it’s probably about par for the course. Especially with the portal.

How many all Americans on that random team come from transfers

Everybody that has good talent faces a lot of transfers and early exits and I know that's what you're getting at, but let's look at Bama's 2020 undeated run and see how many from that group were playing in the 2 deep by year four...

Bama 2017 class and who played in 2020 (starters in bold)

Najee Harris
Alex Leatherwood
Dylan Moses
LaBryan Ray
Devonta Smith

Jarez Parks
Phidarian Mathis
Christopher Allen
Daniel Wright

Brian Robinson
Kendall Randolph
Major Tennison
Mac Jones
Joseph Bulovas
Thomas Fletcher

The top 11 players on this 15 player list were top 180 recruits. They got 11 top 180 recruits to stick around 4 years. Thirteen of the 15 were 4 star recruits. Two of their six 4 stars left early for the first round, the rest stayed. They had 11 starters in their fourth years play for them. That's why they bust everybody's asses.

IMO, I don't think Bama will be this unstoppable team this year either. A lot of people think so because of them being Bama, their transfers, their heisman winner, and their pass rush. Some idiots expect it to be their best team, some think it will be better than last year, I personally think they'll be similar to last year meaning LSU has a chance.
