1. I miss the days when preparation actually mattered. Now, as long as someone knows how to use the internet, he can have a hundred expert opinions at his side in a matter of minutes. I miss the days of fantasy football when you had to make your own projections and know a little about the game. I used to love to see guys walk in and open their crisp new fantasy football magazine not realizing how much had changed since the publication date.

Preparation still matters. We all have guys in our leagues who consistently suck and guys who consistently win. That isn't an accident.

2. I miss live drafts with a bunch of guys sitting around drinking beer and harassing each other for each and every pick. "Didn't you hear Barry Sanders broke his leg and is out for the year"?

This still happens. Just got home from a live draft where we went to Tahoe for the weekend.

3. I miss watching games and highlights to see how my players did, but never really knowing if you won until the commissioner (usually me) scoured through the USA Today on Monday and Tuesday mornings, compiling the points by hand.

Idk anything about this. I'm old but not THAT old
