Nola depends on tourism, and we have consistently spent a fair amount of money annually - hotels, restaurants, concerts, furniture - in the city until recently. We have zero desire to go there under the current conditions.

So maybe be grateful so many people (used to) visit the city and pay taxes there. I absolutely expect a reasonable level of safety and support from local police.

All of this.

I am going to the LSU game next Sunday. Unfortunately it just happens to be in NO. In the past, I might have stayed a night, either Saturday or Sunday, and spent a few dollars in the city.

Instead, I will drive from BR on Sunday to where I get to the dome about 2 hours ahead of kickoff then drive home after the game. I have no desire to give that lawless shithole of a city any of my money. Y'all can keep the huge rats and crime to yourself. I prefer to spend my money in my own shithole of a city in BR
