Yeah, I probably had 2 1/2 hours total invested in a private sell. From taking pics, posting adds, returning a dozen or so text and meeting the buyer. So, you really better value your time if an hour 45 is worth a couple of thousand. Close to $20 a minute. YMMV.

Besides my time, it is worth a certain amount of money to avoid dealing with strangers, and handling sizable amounts of money. Sellers have been burned with fake cashiers checks, had the vehicle stolen at gun point, and the most common, the buyer claims the vehicle has a issue and wants their money back even though it was in writing that it was sold as-is.
