Euthanasia is a slippery slope. If you've ever seen a terminally ill patient you know it's heartbreaking to see them suffer. The best we can do is make them as comfortable as possible while their body shuts down. I would be hard pressed to disagree with humanely allowing them to end their own life.
However, there are people out there dealing with treatable problems that shouldn't be given up on. Many of the issues people view as hopeless are products of modern living. I'm not willing to sweep all mental illness under the same rug. That creates too broad a standard and one that some people will take advantage of.

Exactly. In this cold-hearted world -- in one single moment of emotional hopelessness and weakness -- "counselors" may suggest the "ultimate solution".
And frankly, who would be surprised if tState offers Commissions or "Counselor Compensation" in their warped fantasy-quest ("There's already too many people on our planet")
