Yeah, it's hard to believe that for years, you only played 6 SEC games and 5 OOC games...on top of that, you could have 4/6 SEC games at home.

1987 LSU played Florida, Kentucky, Alabama, and Miss State at home. They played UGA and Ole Miss on the road (and the Ole Miss game was in Jackson).


Gos to show you how CFB was quite far from what we have now. Bowls games were aligned with one conference and sometimes no conferences, as opposed to two of today. Of course, we often didn't see the NC's playing each other. I think the '98 Rose Bowl had a lot to do with what we have now.

And won the SEC in 1986 with only Georgia and Ole Miss , at home.

we played 4 road games that year, the other 2 were at Texas A&M and Tulane, so 3 road games outside the state and 2 of those were bordering states.

For many of those years the teams played 10 regular season games. Our great 1969 team played Kentucky in Lexington and Ole Miss in Jackson, and the other three conference games (Auburn, BAMA and MooState) were in Tiger Stadium.
