I say this very honestly and not just hating, either you're lying, they are lying, or they have really old Teslas/ONLY ever charge on older charges.
95% of my stops in 3.5 years are 15 minutes or less.
Just punched into Tesla "go anywhere" planner a trip I am going to take soon.
Tesla Model 3 long range,
Pensacola, FL, USA to Fayetteville, AR, USA
Pensacola, FL, USA
Hattiesburg, MS 10 min charge
Pearl, MS 25 min charge
Monroe, LA 45 min charge
Little Rock, AR 30 min charge
Ozark, AR 10 min charge
Fayetteville, AR, USA
Duration: 14 h (744 mi)

Not sure what the logic is behind that planner. It's clearly broken or has some kind of ridiculous parameter that you stop whenever you hit 50% battery or something.
It says the 400 mile range model S has to make even more stops than the 350 mile model 3.
Pensacola to Fayetteville is about 750 miles.
A model 3 LR has a 358 mile range. So you need one longer stop in the middle (lunch) and one shorter 10-15 min stop near the end. That's about what the average ICE family roadtripper is doing if we're going to be honest.
Edit: That's a 12ish hour trip. If you're doing that trip with the wife and kids you are stopping at least twice no matter what and probably more like 3 or 4 times. The EV needing to charge is probably at worst a wash on that type of trip.

That's fine

I just used the website for A Better Route Planner:
3 charge stops total:
- Vicksburg, MS - 25 minutes
- Little Rock, AR - 17 minutes
- Ozark, AR - 7 minutes
If you have a wife and couple of kids making a trip that long, you are stopping at a minimum of probably 30 minutes even in an ICE vehicle. This is 49 minutes.
