Gen X. I can drive them. Drove over a million miles with some kind of manual transmission underneath. Eighteen wheelers, pickups, cars, and every kind of tractor, forklift, and loader ever invented.
Still doesn't mean I like them. My current daily driver is automatic, and I don't mind a bit. I'll periodically have to drive one of the farm trucks into town to pick up something, and shifting through 4, 5, 8, or 12 gears gets tedious. Especially in traffic.

You are "one with your truck" when you can change gears without using the clutch or grinding the gears.
