Some posters were genuinely asking how it worked. Some were combatively arguing me no matter what. Some think I’m taking shots at LSU. I was trying to answer all of them in one post.

There were several staff hold-overs familiar with Matthews when he was offered by the old staff last year. I honestly think Kelly had slept on in-state recruiting until this summer. Don’t know if it was Notre Dame syndrome, or just took it for granted, or what.
At the end of the day, Matthews has his offer. His FOMO is going to be higher than LSUs if he does not choose to play there. LSU will move on, he will always live with it.
