1. Georgia has been really good against the run, but so was South Carolina. We have to establish the run. That means even if were not having success early, we still have to find a way to pick up yards on the ground. Maybe using Hatch in the option attack.

2. J. Lee has to avoid making the big mistake early. He seems to settle down as the game progresses, but has had a tendency to over-throw receivers early in the game.

3. Our defense has to stop Moreno and King with our front four. We are so inexperienced in the secondary that unless its a third and long situation, we can't afford to commit extra guys to the run. If we have to resort to putting 8 guys in the box, Stafford will make us pay.

4. In passing situations, we have to either blitz or get pressure with our front four. Even experienced CB's can't cover receivers forever.

I think our LB play is also key in this game

I can't help but think that playing in TS will be a huge, astronomical benefit to Lee ... and the whole team as well. I was intimidated at the Swamp .. can't imagine a 19 year old ... down on the field!

Captin Obvious ladies and gents. Establish the run, don't make big mistakes, stop the run, and pressure the QB. Obviously.

How about this. Thier DB's give up yards. we need to go deep early. Getting Byrd or Toliver to back the safties and CB's off the line will open the edges for KW and RM. Spread this Defense out and open up holes in the middle for Scott, where thier strength is.

We love the blitz, I love the blitz, but we better make sure our front 4 can handle the run game before we start picking gaps. If were controlling the LOS with our front 4, we need to blitz them hard.

Well, Mr. Eye, if you had looked at the games, you would have noticed that Georgia doesn't give up big plays. The only reason teams have more passing yards against Georgia is because they can't run the ball. 2 teams have had mediocre success against UG...Bama and Vandy. Bama had 130 something, and Vandy had like 115 yards.

I think we have to come out throwing to soften the defense up. If we try to establish the run early, we could face too many 3rd and longs, won't control field position and could be down by multiple scores early. Of course some early variations in the running game would help, teams have caught on to the Scott following Johnson play.

#1 key to victory. If LSU executes better than UGA they will win.

I'd add that they need to find effective ways to get the ball to Dickson. The SC TE that looked great against us looked even better during the UGA game. UGA knew that was the only person they had to worry about since they had stopped the run and Garcia had yet to take over for Smelley.

I think Dickson could do a lot of damage and open up the sidelines for Lafell/Byrd/Tolliver. I just want to see something to Dickson besides they 7 yard slant that Florida sat on and tried to get a spot on Sportscenter.

Good observation. This is the key. Their line is weak on the inside and if we can establish that inside running game early, we are going to be able to take some shots down the field.

I was also thinking about their young O-line. I think some stunts like what we saw last week against SC by Rahim Alem and TJ are going to be effective. I don't like the safety blitz with Coleman as much with this team because I think Stafford has the ability to burn us deep.

This is risky IMO. If Lee makes a big mistake, it could result in 6.

One key in the passing game may be to get Holliday involved, a "safe pass" to him could result in a long gainer. I love that flea flicker play.

What will help Lee is an environment where he can hear and audible successfully get it to teammates. TS will allow him to communicate.

Well good observation, I don't have time to scout Georgia's games, but facts are facts and they give up more in the air than on the ground, so I say exploit it. By the way JPW is extremely overated b/c Alabama's #2. He is realy not a good QB, so his low stats don't suprise me, I haven't seen much of Vandy this year yet.

not any riskier than multiple 3 and outs resulting in being down 17-0 in the first quarter...we couldn't run on Auburn or SC until the passing game started moving the ball.

The real key to winning: Be losing at halftime and then make stupid good plays in the last two minutes of the game to win it! BAM!

I agree with "TheEye" on going deep. The coaches finally decided to stretch the field and take some shots in the second half of the South Carolina game. If Byrd gets single coverage early on, take a shot. Lee seemed to throw a pretty good deep ball.
