Are these Agents CPAs?
87k seems like a lot of hires to get done. So I was thinking we'll see H&R Block type companies struggling to fill roles after the IRS picks them dry. It will be like the IRS just acquired them and has satellite offices.
Mix of that and a crap ton of indoctrinated ivy league college graduates

No. Most CPAs aren’t going to work as at a GS7 level. People who have general business degrees, economics, maybe accounting-yes maybe if they can’t get something better.
