Crunchy granola types who move west to places like CO don't have a lot of kids. Just looked it up and the state is actually in the bottom 10 for fertility rates. The rest of that bottom group is in large part filled with liberal granola states.
Not to generalize, as Merills sells kids hiking boots and Subarus can come with a 3rd row. But this chohort largely seems to prioritize legal weed, double IPAs and outdoor recreation over starting families and raising kids. Hard to make it to Willow's soccer game at 9AM, Aurora's friend's birthday party at noon, and also find time to fit in rock climbing on your weekend.
