i wonder if the "uppers safe" is located off the property? when the ATF get warrants, is it usually just the persons house, or do they do research for any other assets and get warrants for those as well?

In most cases if they are investigating someone they are going to search any known property for evidence. If its a random just dropped by to say hello and show me your guns then probably not.
