If that were true I would be a rich mofo. One of the major BR hospitals apparently has screwed up a data entry in whatever system they use to print checks and print the POSTNET barcode on the bottom of their envelopes.

Without fail every 14 days I get checks in my mailbox for a business in Hammond as the USPS sorts mail based on that barcode. After the third time I called the business (whose name and address is clearly visible in the envelope window) instead of trying to deal with the idiots in accounting in the hospital.

The rightful recipient of the check told me to open the envelope and tell them how much the check was for so they could figure out which of their invoices it applied to. It was well into 5 digits. This has been going on for close to 4 months now.
