I have a friend who owns a pit bull, and that may be the sweetest dog in general, that I know. It’s all about how you raise them. Have to make them respect the owner, and they’ll listen to the owner.

Even the nicest ones have the propensity to attack innocent children or other pets (or adults).

And when they attack, they have lockjaw and cannot be stopped without some serious force or a gun. Even the nice ones have it in their genetics FAR moreso than any other common American dog.

I had a friend with a very sweet one that never growled or anything even when strangers were over. It jumped his fence and mauled his neighbor's dog to death.

It’s unsettling how every pit owner defends the breed in word for word exactly the same way. Y’all are a joke

This is such a dumb take, and it really needs to stop. Saying a dog is sweet should be a baseline here. It's a dog, for crying out loud. It should be sweet. They adore humans.

When's the last time you heard a story about a vicious goldendoodle attacking its owner? Probably never. Pit bulls? Seems like every other day.

What about the owners mother? Will it maybe rip her throat out and drag her mutilated corpse around?

Pit bulls are fricking trash and serve no purpose at all.
