Crowbar at The Cabooze in Minneapolis tomorrow (videos from the show added)

Of course wouldn’t you know The Cabooze is just two or three blocks away from the site of the latest national news-making shooting of a black man by the police a couple of weeks ago. Seems very much like a good shoot but that doesn’t always matter to the fine peace-loving utes of the area.

They played it in Tulsa four nights ago and I expect they will tomorrow night too.

Hell yeah. Probably some Lasting Dose, All I have, and Cemetery Angels. I am a fan of Walk Wisely with Knowledge too. Chemical Godz off the new records is killer as well

Awesome show. Great setlist. Got to chat with Kirk, his wife Robin at the merch table, and Matt Brunson too.
Kirk’s always been a Tulane fan but Robin told me before he came out to mingle before the show that his daughter is now at LSU. I brought it up to him and he said yeah he guess he has to pull for the Tigers now too.
Spoke to Brunson after the show. He actually came out asked me what I thought of the Brian Kelly hire, to which I replied I was thrilled. So we wound up talking Kelly and LSU for a couple of minutes. Struck me as very cool because I just don’t really think about metal musicians and interest in college sports mixing. Pretty silly I suppose since they’re ordinary people too.
Tommy Buckley was just as awesome as always. He did look a little under the weather when he first came out. Hoodie on and the hood pulled way down practically over his whole face until just a few minutes before they started. He showed no ill effects while playing though and then when they were done he was gone like a fart in the wind.

Yes they did. They were good. Big step up in professionalism from the first two bands that played. It was clear when they walked on stage. Good sound. They rocked.

Man I already have a trip to NOLA planned for the FSU game and a pretty full September afterward. Would love to try otherwise.
