I don't think he's a bad singer. His voice definitely fits their sound, but his limitations as a vocalist (he sings in key, etc) were what drove him to write his music the way he did.

I get why people think he is a bad singer, but odd vocals do not make a singer bad.

Auto-tune, yes.

I think Billy Gibbons is a solid blues/rock singer who definitely fits ZZ Top. His voice and their sound mesh really well.

It’s crazy when people shite all over dmb and then concede that they are incredible musicians. Plenty of bands aren’t my cup of tea but if they got talent I’m not going to say they or their music sucks.

Gary Lewis is one of the worst singers that became famous but it was kind of charming
