black men were doing a disservice to the race as a whole

When the selection is low, they have to fight for the few good men remaining.

An estimated 5.1% of all persons in
the United States will be confined in a
State or Federal prison during their
lifetime, if incarceration rates recorded
in 1991 remain unchanged in the future. The lifetime chances of a person
going to prison are higher for men
(9.0%) than for women (1.1%) and
higher for blacks (16.2%) and Hispanics (9.4%) than for whites (2.5%). At
current levels of incarceration a black
male in the United States today has
greater than a 1 in 4 chance of going
to prison during his lifetime
, while a
Hispanic male has a 1 in 6 chance and
a white male has a 1 in 23 chance of
serving time.

College educated women generally want to date college educated men and will rarely date down unless there are other unique factors involved (money, athletics, extreme good looks). I'm not saying that its good or bad, but its a fact statistically.

A black woman with a college degree expects to date a male with a college degree as well. The point the woman was trying to make, albeit in a somewhat racist way, was that if she wants to date black men (who are among the lowest groups percentage wise to graduate college) and is then also having to compete with white or asian women for that small dating pool where she lives it greatly reduces her chances of finding an appealing match.
