re: Do you feel sorry for bums on the street?

I don't really live in a high concentrated bum area. If I did, they wouldn't get my money.

A few weeks ago I was in the grocery store and the woman in front of me whom I've known since high school was having problems with her debit card. More than likely no money. She had three younger kids with her and all she had were the essentials (milk, bread, eggs, etc) It was like 20 bucks total and I paid for it. She seemed down on her luck so I didn't mind. Now if It would have been a food stamp card she was trying to get to work or some ribeyes on the conveyor, no way would I have offered.
