Sausalito is great, just across the GG (although that traffic can be awful)

Half Moon Bay/Princeton to the South

Bodega Bay area is kind of cool if you want to stay coastal, plenty of elite vineyards within an hour or so. Not sure if there is enough there to occupy your time otherwise though. But it is a pretty area and the Lodge is a good hotel.
