1. BK & Co. brought Daniels in as transfer QB, despite the others being on the roster.

We were taking a QB no matter what, he kind of fell in our lap. I don't mean this as a negative, he could very well be our guy.

2. He has the most experience as a college player and a starter.

True, pac12 isn't the best league, but experience is experience.

3. He has the ability to extend plays with his running ability, which BK and Denbrock typically utilize in their offenses.

I feel like this is the most overrated feature a QB can have. It's a blessing and a curse.

4. Although not totally consistent, he has shown that he has a high ceiling. (Specifically, his 2019 season).

Had Brennan not gotten hurt, he would have destroyed Daniels college career stats in one season. Is Brennan's ceiling that much higher?

Have to give him credit if he organized this, he sure is giving it his best shot to start and that's about all we can ask. Coaches have a hell of a task, glad it's them picking.

I completely disagree with this. Brennan got to play 2 or the worst defenses on our schedule. The third team was Mizzou, who were missing a boat load of starters right before the game because of an COVID outbreak.

tell that to the NFL, it's all the rage now. Burrow made a living at at LSU running around the pocket making plays and extending plays with his legs (UGA and Clemson can easily attest to it).

Brennan threw the ball 130 times in 3 GAMES! If he kept that pace up, in a 12 game season that would have been 520 passes. For reference Burrow threw 527 passes in 15 games in 2019. You don't factor in that Brennan, had to play from behind in games, played horrible defenses (go compare those defenses he played with some Pac 12 defenses of that same year), and played in a better offense.

I still think both can do damn well this year. I'm not of the nonsense mindset of everybody saying "Jayden will have a package or come in like Perriloux". If Brennan starts, he'll play until he just goes bad or gets hurt, same with Daniels. They may flip flop in the first couple games, but people are crazy if they think Daniels will be coming into games later in the season like a freshman Tim Tebow or something.
