Reading the tea leaves tells me anything we get from Soroka will be a bonus. Snit yesterday said there's no timeline on when he'll start his rehab assignment, and they've also said that his rehab assignment will last at least 30 days to let his arm build up again. It's July 22 now, and he's probably at least two weeks from starting a rehab assignment. At that point, the earliest we'd see him is the middle of September and I don't know if you'd want to trust him in October (assuming we get there) with so little actual pitching under his belt.
AA on 680 today said that there is no innings limit for Strider because the data doesn't show that innings limits work to keep guys healthy long term. He said they'll obviously watch Strider but it sounds like he's starting until he can't do it effectively anymore if that happens.
