Have you been ignoring what the colleges have been teaching the past 40 years?

The gap is even bigger than that:
If the election were today, would you want to see the Republican Party or the Democratic Party win control of the United States House of Representatives?
College-educated whites:
Democrats - 52%
Republicans - 43%
+9 for Democrats among college-educated whites
Non-college-educated whites
Democrats - 33%
Republicans - 55%
-22 for Democrats among non-college-educated whites
That's a +31 gap between college-educated whites and non-college-educated whites.

It isn’t government’s role to legislate culture.
Government has 3 roles:
1. Provide for military defense of the nation
2. Enforce contracts between individuals
3. Police/protect citizens from crimes against themselves or their property

Dems 71/18? What kind of degenerate supports this abomination of an administration?

I agree WHICH is why I vote for Democrats.
It doesn't matter to me what bathroom transvestites decide to use. As long as they don't personally bother me, why should I care what they choose to do with their own body?
Why should abortion be made illegal on a federal level as some Republicans have proposed?
It's not an issue that particularly motivates me but it's not an issue I think needs to be made illegal.
But government absolutely *influences* culture through non-legislative means. Trump has an influence on culture much like Biden has an influence on American culture.

Trump running again is literally the only shot that Biden has at getting re-elected.
If the Republicans nominated Desantis - how precisely do you think he would override the rigged process?
And if Desantis were nominated, and fails to beat whatever machine politician the democrats “nominate” when Biden is either dead, or otherwise set out to pasture, will you make the same assumption?
Not that I’m saying Trump or bust, but at least if he gets steamrolled by a fake process he won’t be quiet about it. I’m curious as to how “anyone else” will insist upon a fair and auditable process

Future of the republican party hinges on latinos. Downvote away but you know I'm right.

His approval rating is twice as high with blacks than any other ethnic group. Why?

If the election is rigged as you say, why vote in the first place?
Don't vote, stay at home.
1. Trump is much more unpopular than DeSantis.
2. I won't vote for Trump, I can vote for DeSantis for example. I know he doesn't believe half the shite he says but that was never the case for Trump. There will be millions of voters like me.
3. DeSantis is a much, much better politician than Trump. He knows when to be quiet and when to fight.

Are people reading the same poll I am?
In the same poll, Democrats are getting 45% of the vote and Republicans are getting 44% of the vote in a generic ballot.
Democrats - 45% Republicans - 44%
But polls tend to be off by like 7 points when it comes to Republicans when asked about them in general. They’ll be honest on their feelings about Biden, but it’s still bad to be an open Republican.

I think what happens is that Trump voters largely don't respond to polls so less Trump-y Republicans end up responding.
But the polls were fairly accurate when Trump was not on the ballot in 2018. It's only when Trump is on the ballot that polling is wrong.
I think Republicans will win by 5-6 points but that's pretty underwhelming considering how high inflation is. If inflation gets under control, I think Democrats can definitely win in 2024.

I am not a math expert but his best demographics in the Democrat voting base are women and African Americans but both groups where he is polling the 30’s and blacks in the 60’s. How would one have a 71% approval rating by Democrats when his two most loyal groups are well below 71%?
Posted on 7/20/22 at 6:09 pm to Rip Torn
Because not all African-Americans and women vote for Democrats.
Of the African-Americans and women who are Democrats, 71% of approve of him. This is a much smaller group than all women/African-Americans.

Not surprisingly, we look at it differently.
Democrats’ top priorities involve culture.
universal health care
protecting public education
climate change
“family planning”
LGBTQ/gender issues
cancelling student loan debt
Title IX protections
race relations (affirmative action, reparations)
so-called “clean” energy
culturally “relevant” curriculum in schools
oversight of firearms
tuition-free higher education

These are just my opinions (on how I view an issue as being cultural vs economic). You're more than welcome to disagree and I won't argue it.
Economic issue, not cultural. Health savings versus Health costs. I'm not in favor of UHC but for me, healthcare is an economic issue, not cultural.
Wouldn't agree this is cultural but economic. Public education is about educating labor.
Economic issue, not cultural.
Cultural but letting people do what they want regarding gender/sex/relationship seems to suggest the opposite of legislating culture, instead giving freedom to people who want to date who they want.
If a man wants to chop off his dick, that should be his right.
Economic issue that I disagree with, not cultural.
Cultural but I don't have an opinion on this one.
No mainstream Democrat is advocating for reparations.
My view on this that affirmative action is an economic issue. Private institutions that are not funded by the state should be allowed to choose who they want (as long as they don't receive tax breaks for being a charity/government funding of any kind). Public institutions should not be allowed to implement any sort of affirmative action.
Economic issue, not cultural.
Cultural but not one that I'm particularly concerned with or think is happening. I think individual schools should have the right to teach what they want and parents have the right to vote with their feet (withdraw their kids from school districts).
Cultural, this one is one I don't agree with Democrats on. Freedom should mean the freedom to own fire-arms.
Economic issue, not cultural.
I view most of these issues as being economic, not cultural and I've been pretty clear I disagree with Democrats economically.
The only cultural issue I think Democrats are particularly wrong on is firearms and affirmative action (to the extent that private sector institutions classed as charities and any institution receiving funding should not be allowed to use race in admissions.
Everything else I either view as economic or being free from a cultural restriction, not cultural freedom.

That’s all cool - but you didn’t answer how Desantis intends to override a rigged process. Trump does seem to have a strategy on that point - by getting behind congressional, gubernatorial and state SoS officials.
I’d vote for him Desantis if he wins the nomination. I’d also vote for Trump if he did. It’s either of those 2 and if the RINOs nominate some Jeb(!) retread, I’ll vote for the libertarian.
I would remain skeptical of the results of Desantis “lost.” I also Remain unclear about how he intends to enforce a fair and auditable process, which I see as his only negative.

And somehow thinks he is still going to be the democratic nominee in 2024. Even democrats know that can't happen bc then everyone that isn't on board would know the steal was real.
