assume they will require N95s since those are the only ones proven to work, correct?

No. They are NOT proven to work.

They are ear loop masks, that do not seal tightly around the face. They don't do shite, and it's public knowledge. I know your post was sarcastic but most people really do believe that an N95 does protect them... and they're wrong.

I work with a bunch of HazMat and infectious materials, both chemical and biological, and have to remain clean shaven so that I can wear a fitted, sealed, cartridge facemask. The only effective cartridges we're allowed to use for biological airborne contaminants are N95 and LPR-100.

But, again, those are replaceable cartridge filters in a fully sealed facemask. Anyting else is redundant and useless. People actually believe our government when they say that clorh face coverings work. It astonishes me.

ETA: some dumbass downvoted me.

I challenge you to rebut. I'm here waiting. I sit through about 120 hours worth of hazmat/airborne training every year, and have for the last 20+ years. If there's one thing I know well, it's how to protect against airborne and fluid-borne particles, pathogens, etc.

The damn box itself that contains ear loop masks clearly states that they do NOT provide protection against the various coronaviruses. Just because it makes you "feel safe" doesn't mean it works.

Exactly.
Chemical industry too.
These bullshite masks people wear do absolutely nothing at all.
I understand, it makes people feel better. But, these masks do nothing.

That is correct and they are extremely uncomfortable. The cloth and paper masks may greatly reduce cough or sneeze particles but that is about it.
