AWD any day if you are driving in winter weather. FWD doesn't cut it on hills without studs.

Don't know where some of y'all get this nonsense from. I lived in PA and saw more Subaru's and Jeeps stuck in ditches or crashed into light poles and bus benches than anything else. Drivers overconfident in AWD/4WD, tires and knowing how to drive matters more.
