Compare that to Jackson saying this wasn’t his story and he wasn’t going to make any major changes that are antithetical to Tolkien’s work and he didn’t assume things about Tolkien on anything he didn’t say like these assclowns are doing. I don’t think he would have been this pissed either. He probably did not foresee streaming services our huge Movie franchises. The Silmarillion wasn’t even published when he died.
