I'm over 65. And I'm on medicare. My deductible is about 200 bucks a year. I pay under $300 a month for Part B and medicare. Maybe another 40 bucks for Part D. It's way cheaper than my old company insurance. My wife who is under 65 is on my old plan. She has to hit an ungodly deductible of thousands before it's no out of pocket expense. Medicare is pretty painless. But the government knows everything about my health situation. But they don't bug me about it other than to prevent renewal of any long term prescription before it's time.

Once they move all of us to socialized medicine I'm sure it will get a lot more expensive.
