That’s when we needed a QB. A sack of potato chips could have won games with that team. The defense was absolutely dominant, it was a different era.

I would say Etling, Jefferson, and Lee are way better than the other 2.

Jefferson is the all time winningest QB at LSU.
*update- I was wrong he is not*

frick, i guess I’d go based on pure arm talent
Lee
Harris
JJ
Etling
Jennings
Lee
Harris
JJ
Etling
Jennings

Etling was a solid QB and Jefferson beat Saban twice. Basing it on “arm talent” is not optimal in any sense.

The defense and special teams won that 9-6 game… and JJ stunk it up in both the SECCG and the NC game.

Do we win the Bama game without him? Yes or no?

We’re not even in either one of those games without JJ, that is a fact. Lee was a deer in the headlights against Bama

With even a solid QB in 2011 we win another Natty with that squad

Lee was great for most of 2011. Then JJ picked him up when he stumbled in 9-6.
Yeah the UGA game was bad but we got through it. 1/9 is illegitimate though so I truly don’t care.

They all were bad. Mostly, because they had no one to coach and develop them.

Reliving this run gave me great anxiety.
